About the Booster Club

The J.L. Mann Athletic Booster Club has a 29-year history of supporting all Mann athletic teams through fundraising and annual memberships. We are so proud of the outstanding accomplishments of our athletes and coaches and the accolades they received during this past year, including four state champion teams, five individual state champions and eight region champions. In addition, Boys Soccer was named National Champion by United Soccer Coaches and MaxPreps. Truly amazing!

Funds raised by the Booster Club are vital to J.L. Mann’s athletic department to help meet the operational costs of all 24 varsity and 17 sub-varsity sports. It might come as a surprise, but 95% of the funding it takes to run the athletic program is raised internally through ticket sales, sponsors, donations, spirit week and you guessed it... Mann Booster Club. Efforts by our invaluable volunteers play a critical role in the overall Mann athletic experience. Some “behind-the-scenes" 2024-2025 Booster Club highlights include:

• Raising more than $100,000 for the 2024-2025 season. Funds were given to the athletic department and distributed to teams to help meet the needs of each program.

• Fields First Initiative. Booster Club worked directly and tirelessly with the Greenville County School District to ensure the relocated practice fields and softball field were completed as quickly and with the smallest amount of disruption as possible during the construction of the new Reedy Laurel Elementary School.

• Slaton Field Drainage Improvement. Booster Club lobbied our school district representatives about the conditions of Slaton Field, and we successfully secured much-needed drainage improvement prior to the start of the 2024 football season.

• Concessions. New paint graphics, new televisions and the consistent presence of our awesome volunteers!

• Corporate Partners. Booster Club maintains relationships with more than 40 corporate partners who help fund our programs.

• New HVAC in the press box at Slaton Field (coming 2025).

None of the above would be possible without the support of our Booster Club members and donors! Even if you are not the parent of a student-athlete, your support helps ensure that all students at J.L. Mann enjoy an enriched high school experience cheering for their fellow classmates on the field. We hope you will consider joining the Booster Club this year!
