If you want robust wireless freedom with a massive battery life and multipoint-ready connectivity for long webinars, choose JLab; if you need a simple, durable wired solution that guarantees zero lag and maximum volume safety for younger students, choose Candy Bila USB C Kids.
• JLab JBuddies Studio 2: The standout strength is its 65-hour battery life and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless capability, but the trade-off is a slightly more complex feature set for very young children who might prefer plug-and-play simplicity. This pick is best for older kids (grades 1–8) attending remote classes or watching movies where cord management matters.
• Candy Bila USB C Kids: Its biggest advantage is the direct USB-C wired connection which eliminates pairing issues and offers instant audio with sound isolation, though it lacks wireless mobility. This pick is ideal for toddlers through early elementary students who need a sturdy, no-fuss headset for school tablets.
• The Verdict: If your priority is battery endurance and wireless flexibility for a teenager, go JLab. If you need a rugged, lag-free device for a younger child using an iPad, go Candy Bila.
The JLab JBuddies Studio 2 Wireless headphones are engineered for the active child who needs to move around without being tethered to a device. With a battery life that averages 65 hours of playtime, this headset is practically built for the long haul. A parent can charge it once a week and never worry about it dying mid-webinar or during a long car ride. The on-ear design features Cloud Foam Comfort Cushions and a matching headband, which suggests these will remain comfortable even when worn for extended periods, from morning classes to afternoon homework sessions. The materials used, including faux leather and plastic, feel substantial enough to handle daily backpack tosses while remaining feather-light.
For families dealing with multiple devices or shared screens, the Share Wireless mode is a unique feature not found in most competitors. It allows two JBuddies Studio 2 units to connect to a single source simultaneously. This is a game-changer for siblings sharing a tablet or for a student and parent reviewing a document together on a screen. The controls are integrated directly into the left earcup, designed specifically for small fingers to navigate play, pause, track changes, and volume adjustments without frustration. The Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity ensures a stable link, and the ability to rotate the plush circular ear cups 80 degrees makes them easy to store in a pocket or bag when not in use.

However, this product is not for everyone. The reliance on wireless technology means there is a learning curve for setup compared to a simple plug-in cable. Children who struggle with technology might find managing Bluetooth connections or charging cycles overwhelming. Furthermore, the on-ear placement, while comfortable, does not offer the same level of passive noise isolation as an over-ear design. If a student is sitting in a very noisy classroom or a busy household, they might hear more ambient chatter than they would with sealed cups. This model fits best for ages 6 to 16, particularly those who have outgrown the need for absolute simplicity and value the freedom of untethered movement.
The Candy Bila USB C Kids Headphones take a fundamentally different approach by prioritizing reliability and ease of use over wireless features. By utilizing a direct USB Type-C connection, these headphones eliminate the need for batteries, Bluetooth pairing, or drivers. You simply plug them into an iPad, tablet, or Chromebook, and they work immediately. This "plug-and-play" nature makes them an excellent choice for younger children, ages 3 to 16, who may not yet have the dexterity or patience to manage wireless settings. The lack of internal electronics also means there is nothing to charge, removing a common point of failure in modern tech.
Safety is a core component of the Candy Bila design, with a built-in regulator capping the volume at 85 dB. This protects hearing health without requiring parents to constantly monitor the device's volume slider. The 40-millimeter dynamic drivers deliver stereo sound across the standard 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz frequency range, ensuring clear audio for educational content. The enclosure is made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), a durable plastic that resists drops and rough handling. The over-ear shape provides a snug fit that naturally offers some sound isolation, helping the user focus on their webinar or lesson by blocking out minor background noise. At just 160 grams, they are light enough for smaller heads to wear comfortably throughout a school day.
The trade-off here is the wire itself. While the USB-C cable provides a secure connection, it physically restricts movement. A child cannot walk around the room while wearing them; they must stay near their device. This makes them less versatile for teens who might want to listen to music on a phone while walking outside. However, for a dedicated school setup where the device stays on a desk, the absence of wireless interference and the guarantee of immediate audio make this a highly practical tool for education-focused environments.

• Best for younger users (ages 3-6) → Candy Bila: The straightforward wired setup is easier for little hands to manage than Bluetooth controls.
• Best for comfort during long sessions → JLab: Cloud Foam cushions and an adjustable metal band are designed for extended wear on growing ears.
• Best for sound isolation → Candy Bila: The over-ear design and tight seal help block out more external noise than the on-ear JLab cups.
After weighing the specifications and use cases, I would personally buy the JLab JBuddies Studio 2 Wireless if my goal was a primary headset for a student attending regular webinars. The 65-hour battery life alone solves the anxiety of forgetting to charge before a class, and the wireless freedom is essential for modern learning environments where kids need to stand up or move slightly during long sessions. The ability to share audio is also a bonus for family movie nights or collaborative projects.
However, if I were buying for a younger child, say a first-grader, who struggles with gadgets or needs a strictly school-only device that never fails to connect, I would switch to the Candy Bila USB C Kids. The simplicity of the wired connection removes every technical hurdle, ensuring the child can focus entirely on their lessons rather than troubleshooting a connection. Both are excellent choices depending on the age and habits of the user, but for the specific demands of reliable webinar attendance, the JLab's endurance and flexibility give it the edge.
While both offer stereo sound suitable for education, neither is marketed as high-fidelity audiophile gear. The JLab offers better wireless convenience for webinars, while the Candy Bila offers zero-latency audio via USB-C, which can be critical for live interactions.
The JLab JBuddies Studio 2 is the clear winner with an average battery life of 65 hours, whereas the Candy Bila headphones do not require charging as they are powered directly through the USB-C connection.
The Candy Bila is wired and connects to only one device at a time.
