For glasses wearers seeking true open-ear clarity, the JLab Flex in Teal wins by keeping your frames comfortable while staying aware of the world. The JLab Go Pop ANC is the runner-up if you need active noise cancellation to block out office chatter instead.

The JLab JBuds Lux ANC Over-Ear Headphones represent a shift toward premium, over-ear listening rather than the tiny buds most people expect from JLab. These are designed for those who prioritize deep immersion and physical comfort during long listening sessions. The defining feature here is the Cloud foam cushioning paired with faux leather enclosures, which creates a soft seal around the ears without feeling tight or heavy. This makes them an excellent choice for anyone who wears thick-rimmed glasses, as the over-ear design avoids the pressure points that in-ear buds often create against temple arms.
With Smart Active Noise Cancellation capable of reducing up to 25 dB of ambient noise, these headphones offer a level of silence that is rare in this price bracket. You also get the option to switch to "Be Aware" mode instantly, allowing outside sounds to filter in when you need to hear announcements or traffic. The inclusion of Bluetooth Multipoint means you can seamlessly switch between your laptop for work and your phone for calls without hunting for settings. For audiophiles who love tweaking their sound, the dedicated JLab App lets you customize EQ settings and control types, ensuring the audio matches your specific taste.
However, there is a trade-off: these are not "open ear" headphones in the traditional sense of sitting on top of your ear canal. They are over-ear, which means they cover the entire ear. While this provides superior noise isolation and bass response, it does not allow for the same level of situational awareness as open-ear designs. If your primary goal is to hear every car horn while jogging, these might feel too isolating. They are best suited for stationary use, travel, or focused work where blocking out the world is more important than hearing it.
The JLab Go Air Pop+ earbuds are a powerhouse of value and longevity, offering one of the longest battery lives in the category. Each bud delivers over nine hours of playback, and the charging case adds another 26 hours, totaling nearly 35 hours of listening time. This is a game-changer for commuters or students who hate carrying chargers; you can easily go a full work week without plugging anything in. The design has been refined to be 15% smaller than previous generations, making them incredibly discreet and easy to slip into any pocket.
The standout feature for many users is the built-in EQ3 system, letting you toggle between Signature, Bass Boost, and Balanced profiles with a simple touch command. Whether you prefer thumping bass for gym playlists or balanced vocals for audiobooks, you can adjust the sound signature on the fly. The inclusion of MEMS microphones ensures that your voice comes through clearly even in windy conditions, and Dual Connect allows you to use just one bud for hands-free calls while keeping the other charged in the case.
The main limitation here is that these are in-ear buds, not open-ear. They rely on silicone tips to create a seal, which some users find uncomfortable after several hours, especially if they have sensitive ear canals. Additionally, while they have an IPX4 rating for sweat and light rain, they are not fully submersible. They are ideal for the person who wants maximum battery and portability but doesn't mind the slight sensation of having something inside their ear.

This version of the JLab Go Air Pop+ offers the exact same technical performance as the white model but distinguishes itself with a vibrant Mint Green finish. The core specifications remain identical: over 9 hours per bud, 35 hours total, and the versatile EQ3 sound customization. The primary appeal here is aesthetic; for those who find standard white or black tech gear too generic, this pop of color makes the device feel like a personal accessory rather than just a utility.
The fit remains secure thanks to the three included gel tip sizes (Small, Medium, Large). This variety is crucial for ensuring the earbuds stay in place during vigorous movement. The compact charging case is still smaller than a credit card, maintaining the high portability factor that defines this series. Users will appreciate the integrated USB-C cable built directly into the case, which eliminates the need to carry a separate charging cord. It is a thoughtful design detail that reduces clutter significantly.
As with the white model, the trade-off is the in-ear form factor. If you suffer from ear fatigue or have very narrow ear canals, the silicone tips might cause discomfort over long periods. However, for short bursts of listening or active days where security is paramount, this model excels. The mint colorway also makes it easier to spot if you drop the case in a dark bag or under a couch cushion.
JLab Go Air Pop+
The Mauve iteration of the JLab Go Air Pop+ brings a sophisticated, earthy tone to the lineup while retaining all the functional prowess of its siblings. It features the same robust 35-hour battery life, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and the ability to switch between sound signatures using the JLab App. The choice of Mauve suggests a user who values subtlety and elegance over loud statements, yet still wants the freedom of wireless audio.
Functionally, there is no compromise compared to the other colors. The IPX4 rating protects against sweat and rain, making it suitable for outdoor runs or commuting in unpredictable weather. The MEMS microphones continue to provide clear call quality, filtering out background noise effectively. The Dual Connect feature remains a highlight, allowing you to take a call on one earbud while leaving the other in the case, ready to pair back up instantly when needed.
The decision to choose this color over others is purely personal preference, but the practical benefits are universal. The small size and lightweight build make it one of the least obtrusive options available. However, the reliance on silicone tips for sound isolation remains the only potential downside for those who prefer the open-air feel. If you need to stay aware of your surroundings constantly, this model might require you to lower the volume or rely on transparency modes that aren't native to the hardware in the same way open-ear designs handle it.
The JLab Flex represents the true spirit of "jlab open ear headphones." These are not in-ear buds that plug your canal; they are clip-on earbuds that sit comfortably on the outer rim of your ear. This design is a revelation for glasses wearers because the earbuds do not interfere with the arms of your eyeglasses. There is no pressure buildup behind the ear or inside the canal, which solves the classic conflict between hearing aids, earbuds, and spectacles.
You get 7+ hours of playtime per charge, plus 14 more hours from the case, totaling 21 hours. The clip-on cuff design wraps securely around the ear, staying put even during intense workouts. The IPX4 rating ensures they can handle sweat and light rain, making them a durable companion for runners and cyclists.
Bluetooth 5.3 with Multipoint support allows you to connect to two devices simultaneously, switching effortlessly between your phone and laptop. The JLab App gives you control over touch functions and EQ settings, so you aren't stuck with factory presets. The trade-off is that open-ear designs naturally leak more sound than sealed in-ear buds, meaning someone sitting next to you might hear your music at higher volumes. Furthermore, they cannot block out external noise, which is great for safety but bad for privacy or focusing in noisy offices.
JLab Flex
The Black version of the JLab Flex offers the same revolutionary clip-on design and open-ear audio experience but in a sleek, understated finish. The black colorway appeals to those who prefer a more serious, athletic look, fitting seamlessly into gym attire or casual streetwear.
Performance-wise, it mirrors the Teal model perfectly with 21 hours of total battery life and Bluetooth Multipoint capabilities. The ergonomic design ensures that the weight is distributed evenly across the outer ear, preventing the fatigue that often comes with traditional earbuds. The MEMS noise-canceling microphone helps isolate your voice during calls, even when the environment is loud, though the open design means background noise can sometimes bleed into the conversation.
The primary consideration for this model is the lack of passive noise isolation. Because the ear canal is left open, wind noise can be more noticeable during fast-paced cycling or driving compared to sealed earbuds. However, for users who prioritize situational awareness and comfort above all else, particularly those wearing thick-framed glasses, this trade-off is a small price to pay for the freedom of movement and lack of pressure.
The JLab Go Pop ANC True Wireless Earbuds bring active noise cancellation to the budget-friendly segment, offering a different solution for those who need quiet. The key differentiator is the three-mode noise control system: ANC On, ANC Off, and Be Aware. This flexibility allows you to tune exactly how much of the outside world you want to hear, from complete silence to full transparency.
Battery life is impressive, with each bud lasting over seven hours and the case providing an additional 20 hours for a total of 27 hours. Fast charging is also a highlight, giving you an hour of playback from just ten minutes of charging via the built-in USB-C cable. The compact case slips easily into pockets, and the three included gel tip sizes ensure a personalized fit. The JLab App allows for extensive customization of touch controls and EQ settings, letting you tailor the sound to your preferences.
While these are excellent for blocking out distractions, they are not open-ear headphones. The in-ear design means they will press against your ear canal and potentially interact with glasses arms if worn for extended periods. They are best suited for environments where noise reduction is the priority, such as flights, busy offices, or studying. The trade-off is the potential for ear fatigue and the loss of natural situational awareness unless you manually switch to the Be Aware mode.
JLab Go Pop ANC
The Teal edition of the JLab Go Pop ANC combines the powerful active noise cancellation features with a fresh, modern color palette. The teal finish makes these earbuds stand out as a fashion statement while maintaining the functionality required for daily use.
The inclusion of a MEMS microphone in each bud ensures clear call quality, and the Dual Connect feature allows for independent use of either earbud. The case's built-in USB-C cable is a practical addition that simplifies charging on the go. With Bluetooth 5 connectivity, pairing is stable and reliable across iOS and Android devices. The Google Fast Pair feature further streamlines the connection process for Android users, making setup almost instantaneous.
As with all in-ear models, the primary drawback is the physical presence in the ear. For glasses wearers, this can sometimes lead to discomfort if the earbud tips push against the temple arms of the glasses. However, the ability to switch off the noise cancellation entirely or engage Be Aware mode mitigates this issue by allowing you to monitor your surroundings when necessary. It is a versatile choice for those who want the best of both worlds: deep quiet when needed and openness when required.
