Lumerical 사용법

[편집]Simulation Setting

• 계산을 하기전에 unit 설정.

1. open a setting                               

2. change the Length, Time, Frequency, Loss unit

[편집]Structure Design

1. open a Structure                              

2. select the structure  (Ex: sphere)

3. FDTD Layout에서 sphere 를 마우스 우클릭 

4. Edit object에서 Geometry, Material등 설정

  * 만약 동일한 여러 구조일경우 FDTD Layout 왼쪽에 있는 Duplicate 기능을 써서 복사해서 만들면 편함.

[편집]Global properties

 *Global properties는 설정해 놓으면 override로 같은 조건으로 설정됨

1.Source Global properties 는 Source에서 설정가능

2.Monitor Global properties 는 Monitor에서 설정가능

[편집]Simulation

• 계산을 하기 위해서는 FDTD Region, Source, Monitor가 설정 되어 있어야함.

1.open a simulation

2.select a Region

3.FDTD Layout에서 FDTD 마우스 우클릭

4.Edit object 에서 설정.

5.open a Source

6.select

7.FDTD Layout에서 Source 마우스 우클릭

8.Edit object 에서 설정.

9.Frequency/Wavelength 에서 override 기능을 선택 가능  ( 다른 조건으로 변경 하고 싶으면 override 체크 안하고 설정 변경하면 됨.)

10. open a Monitor

11. select  (Ex: DFTMonitor 선택)

12. FDTD layout 에서 DFTMonitor 마우스 우클릭

13. Edit object에서 설정.

  *Frequency-domain field and power, Frequency-domain field profile monitor (DFT monitor)로 transmission, field 등을 구할수 있음.

Lumerical Flex license install 및 restart

install

 id:~$ sudo apt-gset update  

 id:~$ sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop   # to install the desktop environment

 id:~$ sudo apt-get install alien

 id:~$ sudo apt-get install lsb  

[편집]Install FlexNet license manager

1. FlexNet license manager will be installed on 1 machine which will serve as the license server. 

    For Linux systems, you will require a Floating license 12.

2. Download the FlexNet license manager for Linux from our downloads page 44.

3. Change directory to the location of the downloaded file (default=Downloads folder) and extract the installation package using tar.

 id:~$ cd ~/Downloads

 id:~$ tar -zxf Lumerical_FlexLM-<version>.tar.gz

4. change directory of the extracted RPM and convert RPM to DEB packages.

 id:~$ cd Lumerical_FlexLM-<version>/

 id:~$ sudo alien -k --scripts lumerical-flexlm-<version>.rpm

5.It might take several minutes to convert these RPM packages. Once completed, you will get the message:

 “lumerical_flexlm_<version>.deb package has been generated”.

6. Install the deb packages.

 id:~$ sudo dpkg -i lumerical-flexlm_<version>.deb

7. Activate 19 your Floating trusted storage license using the activation utility.

   For mac locked licenses 2, import the license file using the FlexNet Dashboard 6.

0. Activate licences (activation code : 1111-DDDD (ask Prof. JKYang)

 id:~$ sudo /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/bin/lumerical-activation-console -a 1111-DDDD

1. Stop the license manager with root/sudo access

• Close the FlexLM activation utility. Then login as user with sudo access or login as root then do the command,

  id:~$ /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/etc/lumlmadmin stop

• or login as regular user with sudo access,

  id:~$ sudo /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/etc/lumlmadmin stop

2. Log-off as root and login as Regular User and run the activation utility again 

    Or when using the activation console: (for non graphical connections)

• Login as regular user, run the activation console command 7:

• Activate:

   id:~$ $ /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/lumerical-activation-console -a YOUR-CODE

• Deactivate:

• List the License ID with the command;

   id:~$ /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/lumerical-activation-console -l

Then deactivate using the ID number obtained from the list.

   id:~$$ /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/lumerical-activation-console -d #

3. restart / start FlexNet license manager

  id:~$ sudo /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/etc/lumlmadmin restart

  or 

  id:~$ sudo /opt/lumerical/lumerical-flexlm/etc/lumlmadmin start
