Leadership Portfolio
My name is Julie Klemm. I am the Student Services Specialist at Williamsburg Elementary in Geneva District 304. I taught fifth grade at Coultrap Elementary in Geneva for five years and third grade for one year. I took some time off to raise my children but always remained a part of the Geneva staff. I worked part-time as a special education instructional assistant and was a long-term substitute.
Coultrap Elementary moved to a new site and became Williamsburg Elementary in 2008. I returned to the classroom in 2010 as a first-grade teacher. In 2016, the principal offered me the opportunity to become the Student Assistance Coordinator. This is the position I currently hold.
As Student Services Specialist, my role is to provide visible and effective leadership, developing and assisting with instructional programs, professional development, student services, and the MTSS process. I am the 504 coordinator and evaluate teachers and instructional assistants. I work closely with the building principal to support students, families, and staff in many capacities.
