Laboratory for Heterogeneous Catalysis

Our research address is to discover solids with well-defined geometries and tunable surface features, both of which are pivotal to expedite the selective transformation of C-H, C-O, N-H, H-O, N-O, O-O, S-O, or P-O bond via thermal catalysis, radical catalysis, electro-catalysis, or plasma catalysis.

Our additional research address is to elucidate active site, mechanism, and kinetics for the catalytic solid that can be activated under a liquid- or gas-medium.

We are of high interest in recruiting researchers who are ambitious, self-motivated, concentrate on 'why' and 'how', or seek to resolve conundrum in heterogeneous/environmental catalysis with interdisciplinary and profound features.

Please e-mail me (jkim40@khu.ac.kr) or drop by my office (Ujungwon 7007-Ho), if you would like to join our research group as an undergraduate intern or a M.S./Ph.D. degree-pursuing graduate student

To foreign, M.S/Ph.D. degree-seeking students: If you think that your research domains fit ours, please don't be hesitant to contact us via e-mail (jkim40@khu.ac.kr).
