How to get to Goldwin Smith Hall
Staying in downtown
If you're staying in downtown (Ithaca Commons area), there are several TCAT buses, including #30, #32, and #51, that run every 30 min to an hour on weekends. Note that service is reduced during the summer break. For the most accurate schedule, please visit: https://tcatbus.com/bus-schedules.
You can pay the bus fare using the Tfare app, available on Google Play and the Apple Store. While Google Maps provides basic transit information, we recommend using TCAT’s own real-time tracking app myStop for the most reliable updates. For more information: https://tcatbus.com/ride/real-time-information-apps/apps/.
Walking from downtown to Goldwin Smith Hall takes about 25–30 minutes, but it’s a steep uphill climb ⛰️. We recommend taking the bus or a ride share (Uber/Lyft), which takes less than 10 minutes. After the conference, you might enjoy a downhill walk at sunset!
Staying in collegetown
If you're staying near collegetown, it is only an 8-10 min walk to Goldwin Smith Hall.
Staying on campus
If you're staying in Statler Hotel, it is only a 5 min walk to Goldwin Smith Hall.
Driving to campus
Friday: If you plan to drive to campus on Friday, you should use the campus Parkmobile lots. Several are located near the conference venue (Goldwin Smith Hall). The closest options include:
Willard Straight Hall (lot #4123), Toboggan Lodge (lot #4114), and West Ave (lot #4113)
Avoid the Johnson Museum spaces, as they are reserved for museum visitors only. Please refer to the map with locations and rates (with the venue circled): Cornell Parkmobile Map with Goldwin Smith circled.pdf
Saturday & Sunday: Most permit-required lots are open and free on weekends. However, please avoid any spaces marked as 'restricted' and always check posted signage before parking—they do tow!
