Welcome to my website!

I am a PhD Student at New York University. My dissertation project focuses on the limits of democracy into providing descriptive representation. I focus on an unequal and miscigenated country, my homeland Brazil, to study these questions.  In particular, I am interested in how party organizations interact with the economy and electoral institutions to provide inequality in campaign finance. More broadly, I also study legislative institutions and democracy as they are the locus of representation and, unfortunately, they are under threat.

I hold an MA in Administration from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration. After a few years in the financial market, I am now a PhD student in Politics at New York University.
