Welcome to my website!
I focus my research on the limits and distortions of representative democracy. I have two main questions guiding this inquiry. First, I am interested in how to conceptualize and measure representation. Second, I am interested in how common citizens might solve their collective action problems to demand better representation. I am also interested in methods given my interest in measurement and collective action, namely formal theory and text-as-data. I am also a causal inference and EITM enthusiast to test my theories empirically.
I hold an MA in Administration from the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration. After a few years in the financial market, I am now a PhD student in Politics at New York University. At the moment, I am on leave to work as an AI researcher at Palver, a political social media analytics company in Latin America. My CV is here.
