About JKA GardenCity

JKA GardenCity is a Christchurch-based dojo offering traditional Shotokan Karate training in a welcoming and respectful environment.

Our goal is to help students develop:
• Confidence 
• Discipline 
• Focus 
• Fitness 
• Self-defence awareness
• Strong karate fundamentals  

We welcome children, teens, and adults, including complete beginners.

Training follows traditional Shotokan Karate principles while helping students build resilience, respect, and self-control.

We aim to build a strong local karate community in Opawa and Christchurch, where students grow together through training.

Registration (JKA NZ)

All students must register through the JKA NZ website.
Select the JKA Christchurch dojo during registration, and once completed, JKA NZ and our dojo receive confirmation for our membership records.
