Jaime Orrillo

Jaime Orrillo is Professor of Economics and Finance at the Catholic University of Brasília, where he has been a faculty member since 1999. He received his Ph.D. from the Instituto de Matemática Pura e Aplicada (IMPA), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

His research interests are in Economic Theory, Mathematical Economics, and Finance, with particular emphasis on general equilibrium theory, financial markets, and the mathematical foundations of economic theory.

He has been a participant in the IMPA Post-Doctoral Summer Program since 2000 and was a Visiting Professor at the University of Kent from 2014 to 2015.

His research has been published in journals including the Journal of Banking & Finance, Quantitative Finance, Economics Letters, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Mathematical Finance, and the International Journal of Economic Theory.
