Kyle Hampton developed this outstanding online tool for conducting a double auction in the classroom. It is free, easy to use, and can be run in just a few minutes. Highly recommended. He co-authored a paper in the Journal of Economic Education with Paul Johnson that describes how to use it in the classroom.

In 2004, I published a paper in the Journal of Economic Education that described some software I developed to run a double auction in the classroom. Kyle Hampton's Kiviq (mentioned above) is a much improved version of what I had done.

In 2004, Juan Camilo Cardenas and I published a paper in the Journal of Economic Education that described some software we developed to run a common pool resources experiment in the classroom. There are now better alternatives, including Moblab.
