A recent publication has been released in Media Psychology! Collaborated with Dr. Michael Hameleers at U of Amsterdam, this paper examines the effects of deepfakes in the health context. Special thanks to my former RA, Tanya Ott (now a professor at Mercer University), for her help with this work. Link HERE
A new publication in Behaviour & Information Technology, co-authored with Dr. Ayanna Seals at NYU, discusses various design interfaces of augmented reality, primarily whether augmented objects are overlaid on one's face or in the environment. This work has found that environmental overlays are more effective for enhancing perceived realism and engagement with health information. Link HERE
Dr. Jiyoung Lee has been invited to deliver a research talk at Brigham Young University (BYU), USA, from September 17-22, 2024. She will present her research on AI, deepfake technology, and health, and will hold a collaborative meeting with Dr. Kevin John, an Associate Professor at BYU, to discuss biometrics data tracking deepfake vs.authentic video.

Master's student Sunyoung Park's proposal, "Analysis of the Relationship Between Mobile-Based Youth YouTube Consumption Patterns and Media Dependency," (모바일 기반 청소년 유튜브 소비 패턴과 미디어 의존도 간 관계 분석) has been awarded the Best Graduate Student Research Award at the KOBACO Special Seminar by the Korean Society for Journalism and Communication Studies(한국언론학회 KOBACO 시청기록 데이터 특별 세미나).
Master's student Sunyoung Park's proposal, "The Impact of Voice-based Chatbot Anthropomorphism on User Opinion Formation," (보이스 기반 챗봇의 상호작용이 사용자의 정보 수용과 의견 변화에 미치는 영향) has been selected for the Online Survey Support Program by the Korean Health Communication Association and Macromill Embrain.
