I am originally from Siquijor, a picturesque island in the Visayas region of the Philippines known for its pristine beaches. Although I am from Siquijor, I spent most of my life in Miagao, Iloilo, where I developed my academic foundation.

I earned my BS Chemistry degree from the University of the Philippines Visayas in 2012 and completed my MS Biochemistry degree at the University of the Philippines Los Baños in 2019. Prior to pursuing my Ph.D., I served as a faculty member and Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry at the University of the Philippines Visayas, where I was actively involved in teaching, research, and academic leadership.

Outside of my academic and research pursuits, I enjoy sports, especially basketball, and I am an enthusiastic Golden State Warriors fan.
