I received my PhD in cognitive and quantitative psychology at Seoul National University, South Korea, where I now teach and conduct research as a learning scientist (postdoc at the Institute of Social Sciences, SNU).

Broadly, my research explores how learning and technology can be better understood and applied to improve higher education.

With an emphasis on evidence-informed design, I use experimental and quantitative methods to investigate interventions that enhance cognitive engagement and learning performance by examining both behavioral outcomes and their underlying mechanisms.

My recent work investigates how LLM-based computer-assisted learning influences discussion and writing processes, and how these skills can be developed in the emerging AI era.
