I am a postdoctoral researcher at InnoCORE POSEIDON Center (KAIST). I am based in Wave Lab, working with Prof. Wonju Jeon. Through the POSEIDON Center, I also collaborate with Advanced Thermal and Energy Transport Laboratory, led by Prof. Joon Sang Kang.
I received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from KAIST under the supervision of Prof. Wonju Jeon. I subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (KAIST) as part of the Jang Young Sil Fellow Program.
My research focuses on acoustic metamaterials and wave control for noise reduction. I combine analytical modeling, finite-element and multiphysics simulations, design optimization, fabrication, and experimental validation to develop lightweight or deep-subwavelength structures capable of controlling various types of waves—including (but not limited to) sound, ultrasonic, and elastic waves. My work is motivated by noise-control challenges in mobility systems, power infrastructure, and cooling and ventilation systems.
You can explore the core of my research through my academic publications,
and see the full scope of my work—including projects, patents, and other achievements—in my CV.
