Policy on Advising Theses/Dissertations
I welcome inquiries from students whose thesis projects are closely aligned with my areas of research expertise. Because effective advising requires a strong substantive fit, I generally advise theses that directly relate to my research interests.
Students interested in working with me should normally have taken one of my courses that requires a final essay or final research paper and received a grade of A or higher.
To request thesis advising, please contact me with a brief note that includes:
A concise description of your proposed research topic or area of interest; and
An explanation of why you believe I would be an appropriate and effective advisor for your project.
Please note that while intellectual and substantive fit will be carefully considered, I may need to decline advising requests if I am already working with too many advisees.

我歡迎研究主題與我的研究領域密切相關的學生洽詢論文指導事宜。由於有效的論文指導需要高度的學術與研究主題契合，我通常僅指導與我的研究興趣直接相關的論文。
有意邀請我擔任論文指導老師的學生，原則上應曾修習我開設、且要求繳交期末論文或期末研究報告的課程，並取得 A（含）以上之成績。
如欲洽詢論文指導，請以電子郵件與我聯繫，並簡要提供以下資訊：
您擬研究的主題或研究方向；
您認為我適合擔任該研究計畫指導老師的理由。
請注意，雖然我會審慎考量研究主題與我的研究興趣是否契合，但若當時已有過多指導學生，我仍可能無法接受新的論文指導邀請。
