Jitender Grover is a graduating MS by Research (CSE) student at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H), skilled in programming on platforms such as Python, C/C++, C#, Matlab and in research on IoT, Edge Computing, ML, SDN, Wireless Communication etc.
His strong research skills make him well qualified to perform the work and meet the challenges of R&D positions. He has a research background is in the field of Wireless Networks and Communications for last 7 years. He is interested in research related to IoT, Wireless Networks, Machine Learning and SDN related fields. He has conducted research on “Reliability in Edge Computing” and “Optimization of Edge Computing and Edge Communication Network” during his MS. A few of his recent publications in the area of edge communication and edge computing are “Reliable and Fault Tolerant IoT-Edge Architecture”, “Optimized Edge Computing and Small-Cell Networks” and “Self Organizing Software Defined Edge Controller in IoT Infrastructure”.
At present, he is working on the implementation of Reliable Landslide Early Warning System (LEWS) for Himalayan regions in India using switching and replication between Edge Server(s) to make the edge layer reliable and fault-tolerant. Along with this, a multi-queue store and forward mechanism is also developed for the Edge Servers to save data in the case of any faults on the edge. Machine Learning is applied on sensed data for the real-time alarm generation with high reliability. This project is funded by NMHS, India to IIT-Roorkee where he is working as a Research Associate. Python-3 is primarily used to develop most parts of Reliable LEWS project. Apart from that, he has worked on platforms such as C, C++, C# for development, and Matlab, NS2 for simulation.
The pursuit of his bachelor's and master's degrees in these fields has helped him to develop his programming, research, system building and publishing skills, as well as provided nuanced understanding of Communication Networks, IoT, Edge Computing, SDN, Machine Learning and a number of key concepts in wireless networks. Along with the theoretical and simulation research work done during his MS, his current RAship at IIT-Roorkee on a live project has provided him with substantial experience of system building for deploying end-to-end IoT solutions with wireless communication. Here, he has been serving as a member of a team, and working with diverse groups of researchers.
His continuous commitment to advancing research in IoT and wireless networks, coupled with his demonstrated skills, shows that he is ready and motivated to join any Software Development or Research group working on IoT, Edge Computing, 5G, SDN or ML related fields.
