Hello! I'm Ji Sun Kim, a PhD candidate at the Department of Brain and Cognitive Science at Seoul National University, working with Dr. Sang Ah Lee.
My research primarily focues on how the brain (especially the hippocampus) organizes memory - how the brain integrates events as "similar" and differentiates events as "different". Thus, I am interested in the concept of association, remapping, pattern completion/separation, and boundaries.
My research is supported by the Basic Science Research Program through the National Research Foundation of Korea (RS-2024-00406649) (total 50,000,000 won; approximately 34,100 USD).
Prior to coming to Seoul National University, I earned my M.S. in Brain and Cognitive Engineering at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and B.A. in English and Psychology at Yonsei University.
Research Area: Episodic Memory, Memory Organization, Association, Hippocampus, fMRI
