Pre requisites: Knowledge of Physics up to 12th standard.
Course Objective:The aim of courses in Physic-I lab is to provide adequate exposure and develop insight about the basic principles of physical sciences and its practical aspects which would help engineers to learn underlying principles of various tools and techniques they use in core engineering and related industrial applications. The course would also inculcate innovative mindsets of the students and can create awareness of the vital role played by science and engineering in the development of new technologies. Course Outcome (CO) of Physics I (PH 101/201)At the end of the course students’ should be able to CO1 : describe various types mechanical resonance and its electrical equivalence CO2: explain basic principles of Laser, Optical fibers and various types of semiconductorsCO3: apply superposition principle to explain interference and diffraction CO4: analyze different crystallographic structures according to their co-ordination number and packing factors CO5: justify the need of a quantum mechanics as remedy to overcome limitations imposed by classical physics
