The vision of Department of Mathematics is to develop and maintain overall academic excellence in the educational and research activities carried out.

Mission

The mission of the Department of Mathematics is to impart the best quality education in mathematical fundamentals to all the students of the institute and to encourage in R&D work in the frontier areas of mathematical and computational sciences.

Objective

In this millennium, work in technology is less manual but more mental; less mechanical but more electronic; less static but more varied. The present age needs workers who are prepared to absorb new ideas and able to solve non-conventional problems (called ill-posed problems). Moreover the changing nature of engineering works makes continuing education a life time reality for the persons achieving state-of-the-art technology, the prerequisite of which is clearly the proper Mathematical education. One should study Mathematics as an operational instrument. Really speaking; Mathematics has now taken the role of MOTHER TONGUE of every engineering professional. So our objective is to provide a proper mathematical education to our students so that the students should able to have a creative mind in all respect to which end they would be able to achieve a challenging career so that JISCE can produce a set of suitably qualified professionals in all engineering directions introduced here. As Mathematics is not a spectator sport and is best appreciated with active participation and as we are enjoying AUTONOMOUS STATUS in our disposal we are providing IMPULSIVE TEACHING METHOD to drive our students to the shore of success.
