Jira Agent analyzes Jira tickets using AI services to provide story point estimates, acceptance criteria extraction, and requirement gap analysis. This policy explains our data practices.

Data Collection and Storage

What We Store Locally:

• API Keys: Your AI provider API keys (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini) stored securely in Chrome's encrypted sync storage

• Analysis Cache: Temporary analysis results cached for 24 hours for performance

• Settings: Your AI provider selection, model preferences, and display settings

• Jira Ticket Data: Temporarily processed ticket content (title, description, status, priority, acceptance criteria) during analysis only

What We Do NOT Collect:

• Personal identification information

• Browsing history outside Jira pages

• Usage analytics or tracking data

• Data from non-Jira websites

How We Use Your Data

Core Functionality:

• Analyze Jira tickets using your chosen AI provider

• Cache results to reduce API costs and improve performance

• Sync settings across your Chrome browsers via Chrome's built-in sync

AI Service Integration:
When you analyze a ticket, content is sent directly to your configured AI provider using your API key:

• OpenAI:  Privacy Policy

• Google Gemini:  Privacy Policy

Important: We act as a pass-through service. Ticket data goes directly from the extension to your chosen AI provider. We do not intercept, store, or process this data on our servers.

Data Security

• Local Operation: Extension operates entirely within Chrome with no external servers

• Encrypted Storage: API keys automatically encrypted by Chrome's sync storage

• Minimal Permissions: Only accesses Jira pages when explicitly activated

• Cache Expiration: Analysis cache automatically expires after 24 hours

• No Third-Party Tracking: No data collection or analytics services used

Jira Integration

• Read-Only Access: Extension only reads ticket content from Jira pages

• User-Initiated: Analysis occurs only when you click "Analyze Ticket"

• No Modifications: Extension does not write data to your Jira instance

Data Retention

• Analysis Cache: Automatically deleted after 24 hours

• Settings & API Keys: Persist until you uninstall the extension or clear Chrome data

• No Server Storage: We store no data on external servers

Your Rights and Controls

• View Settings: Access all stored data through extension options

• Clear Cache: Remove cached analysis results anytime

• Remove API Keys: Delete credentials through settings

• Uninstall: Completely removes all extension data from your browser

• Provider Choice: Select or change AI provider anytime

Third-Party Data Sharing

The extension shares data only with:

• Your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini) for analysis purposes

• Chrome sync service (if enabled) for settings synchronization

No other third parties have access to your data.
