Hello!
I’m Jinyoung Kim, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics at POSTECH, specializing in Mathematical Biology.
My research focuses on chemical reaction networks and probability theory. I am particularly interested in the structure and dynamics of chemical reaction networks, mean first passage times, stochastic simulation algorithms, and Markov chain models as they apply to biological systems.
My goal is to uncover efficient biological strategies through a probabilistic lens. For example, understanding mechanisms such as liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS), droplet condensates, and cell-fate decision processes using stochastic modeling.
