Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of economics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), research fellow at Global Labor Organization (GLO).  My research areas include labor/health economics, development, and international trade. In my research, I pose the question how to improve health and well-being of the most disadvantaged groups, including children, the elderly, women, and low-income households. 

I obtained my Ph.D from Virginia Tech Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, with a simultaneous Master's degree in Data Analysis and Applied Statistics. Before my time at Virginia Tech, I worked as a Postgraduate Fellow for two years at Yale University. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in economics at Northwest A & F University, China.
