I am an Assistant Professor of economics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), research fellow at Global Labor Organization (GLO). My research areas include labor/health economics, development, and international trade. In my research, I focus on topics regarding health and well-being of the disadvantaged groups, including children, the elderly, women, and low-income households, during economic development, and those in the developed countries.
I obtained my Ph.D from Virginia Tech Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, with a simultaneous Master's degree in Data Analysis and Applied Statistics. Before my time at Virginia Tech, I worked as a Postgraduate Fellow for two years at Yale University. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in economics at Northwest A & F University, China.
