NUS Applied Economics Student Workshop (AESW)
In 2022, Wentian Diao, Song Wang and Ziye Wu initiated NUS Applied Economics Student Workshop (AESW). Starting from the summer of 2024, I have the great pleasure to continue to co-organize this workshop with Shuo Yang and Liaoliang Zhang.
The AESW aims to provide a platform for PhD students to present and discuss their works at all stages and to enhance communication among PhD students within and beyond the Department of Economics in NUS. The mode of our workshop can be onsite/online/hybrid. As of the summer of 2025, the AESW has hosted 56 seminar sessions, including external speakers from universities in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Start from 2026 Spring Semester, AESW is changed to APplied Economics eXplorations (APEX), and is orgenized by Jingyuan GUO (jingyuan.guo@u.nus.edu), Nuo LEI (Kingcey) (leinuo@u.nus.edu), Jiachen (Jerry) LYU (jiachen.lyu@u.nus.edu), Fengfei SUN (sunfengfei@u.nus.edu)
