July 25th, 2025: My students from our MSBA program at the Clark University School of Business had their papers accepted for presentation at the 2025 Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) Annual Conference. I am delighted that our students' research has been recognized by one of the top conferences in our field.
The accepted papers are:
"Used Car Price Forecasting in Seattle, Washington" by Alistair Munyorwi, Kenneth Senkumba, Melissa Rakabopa, Elizabeth Antony. (Course research projects supervised by me)
"A model to increase the uptake of domestic biogas technology by smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe: A Case of Marondera Rural District" by Alistair Munyorwi. (Students' independent research)
"Sustainable Cloud Computing: A Step Towards Data Mesh-Based AI Framework for Carbon-Aware Scheduling" by Kubra Banu and Joash Kawal. (Students' independent research)
"Analysis of Luxury Loan Portfolio in NYC" by Darshan Suresh Jain and Prakruthi Sindhia. (Course research projects supervised by me and Yue Gao)
April 15th, 2025: I want to congratulate my student Vibha Vibha Srinivasa, who holds an M.S. degree in Business Analytics from Clark University School of Business, for being one of four recipients of the William '53 and Agnes Hausrath Leadership Award for spring 2025. The Hausrath Award is given annually to a graduate student who the School of Business faculty and staff believe best exemplifies both high academic achievement and strong leadership. Vibha, I am thrilled about your well-deserved recognition!
February 3rd, 2025: Two student teams from our MSBA program have had their papers accepted for presentation at the 2025 Northeast Decision Sciences Institute (NEDSI) Annual Conference. I encouraged these students to participate in conference presentations during the STAT 4600 class, and I am thrilled to see their hard work pay off.
The accepted papers are:
"Emotional Intelligence as a Measure of Potential Academic Success" by Angelina Zuger, Kubra Banu, Joash Kawal, and Kabhilan Shanmugasundaram.
"Air Quality Improvements: A Catalyst for Better Respiratory Health" by Anvitaa Patne and Sara Rehman.
January 9th, 2025: I am delighted to congratulate my student, Jiapeng Xie, on accepting an offer to join the Ph.D. program in Economics at the Wilbur O. and Ann Powers College of Business, Clemson University. March 31st, 2023: My students Yanjing Wang and Ziru Wang, who both hold M.S. degrees in Business Analytics from Clark University School of Management, along with Yihan Wang, who has an M.S. degree in Marketing Analytics from Clark University School of Management, have won first place in the graduate students research poster competition at the 2023 Northeast Decision Sciences Institute (NEDSI) Conference. The judges highly praised their poster, titled 'Analysis of Coronary Heart Disease.' I am incredibly proud of their remarkable achievement! Please see this article for more information.
