Joe has a rich background in graphics, beginning his journey at a local print shop while he was still in design school. Over the years, he rose to become the Managing Art Director for the Today Show, NBC Nightly News and the MSNBC News cable network at NBCUniversal Media. Currently he works as an independent Static and Motion Graphic Designer/Art Director. Known for his hands-on approach and his unwavering commitment to getting things done, Joe is dedicated to continuous learning and perfecting his craft. Recently, he has delved into generative AI, completing several courses, including a generative AI advertising and design class. His course and personal spec/concept projects are featured on this site. All images are generative AI imagery some including generative AI motion. Through his studies, Joe has come to appreciate generative AI as an additional and powerful tool in his creative process, offering limitless possibilities of enhancing his craft as a designer.
Concept:
Hidden within the pages of her most cherished books, Jenny discovers beyond the confines of her room worlds she never imagined that become all too strikingly real.
Additionally, this movie trailer concept is a study in character development, character consistency, prompting, imagining and creating within Midjourney. As I did with the initial image of the little girl reading in bed, I will be adding movement to each of the images utilizing Runway to complete the trailer.

Concept:
My initial concept for this spec ad began with placing the RIVIAN brand in various rugged environments, envisioning the truck with an enhanced, more rugged appearance. The scenes generated from my initial prompts were visually appealing but felt somewhat typical. Seeking a unique twist, I decided to juxtapose the realistic representation of the RIVIAN R1T truck against 3d low poly background scenes that I prompted in Midjourney. This contrast I feel highlights the truck, making it stand out distinctly from the four season scene imagery. I think the final result achieves a nice balance. I included a few additional images from my initial direction and a few more low poly scenes in the Extras section below.

My concept for this spec ad was to introduce a new image to the DUNKIN' brand and it's store locations as a place to go for a relaxing retreat to take a break from the days stresses and challenges.

To demonstrate that whatever you imagine, Midjourney can bring it to reality with limitless imagery. This is depicted by the image of the woman looking towards and reinforcing the tagline as she is surrounded by a mystical, ethereal forest, filled with luminescent and soft, magical lit flora and fauna, with rays of sunlight filtering through the trees as she gazes off into an infinite environment.
