Hello! I'm Jimin Gim,
a sociology PhD student interested in the intersection of inequality, work-family dynamics, caregiving, and carework.

My current research examines how child care is understood and (un)shared across multiple actors. I have also been involved in equity- and care-focused initiatives at UW–Madison, including the BIPOC Recruitment and Retention Committee and the UW Ethics of Care Initiative.
