Lab Rates

Equipment Charge:

• Lab Usage Fee: $10/HR plus any associated charges listed below.

  • The user must have a PTA number or be functioning as part of a club.

  • If any tooling is damaged by improper use, the user's PTA number will be charged for replacing it.

  • If any machinery is damaged by improper use, the user's PTA number will be charged for having the equipment serviced.

• ProtoMAX WaterJet: Garnet charge 50¢ per minute for abrasive.

• Flow WaterJet: Garnet charge 50¢ per minute for abrasive.

• Lasers tube degradation fee: 15¢ per minute.

• 3D Printers – MakeIt Pro: 10¢ per gram.

• 3D Printers – Stratasys Dimension SST 1200es FDM: $10 per cubic inch.

• 3D Printers – Markforged: The software predicts the print cost based on the current material value.
