Lab Rates

Equipment Charge:

• Lab Usage Fee: $10/HR plus any associated charges listed below.

  • The user must have a PTA number or be functioning as part of a club.

  • If any tooling is damaged by improper use, the user's PTA number will be charged for replacing it.

  • If any machinery is damaged by improper use, the user's PTA number will be charged for having the equipment serviced.

• ProtoMAX Waterjet garnet charge: 40¢ per minute for abrasive.

• Flow Waterjet garnet charge: 60¢ per minute for abrasive.

• Lasers tube degradation fee: 17¢ per minute.

• Wire EDM consumables charge: $10 per hour.

• 3D Printers – Current Bambu Labs market value per gram.

• 3D Printers – Markforged: The software predicts the print cost based on the current material value, there is an additional 18% added for maintenance consumables.

Staff Service:*
