Awards:
Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Teaching Assistant Award (2023)
Department of Mathematics Teaching Award (2021-2022)
Exceptional Departmental Service: Hybrid Learning Transition Award (2021)
Directed Reading Program:
In the Fall of 2023, I led a DRP for undergraduates titled "Introduction to Mapping Class Groups." We will be using the text Office Hours with a Geometric Group Theorist. You can read more about the program here.
Curriculum Development Experience:
In 2022 I worked with fellow graduate student Sarah Dennis and Professor Becci Torrey to modify the standard Calculus I curriculum to include projects using calculus techniques to analyze climate change data. We adapted projects developed by Thomas J. Pfaff, which you can read about here.
In 2020 I assisted the Math Department with the transition to hybrid learning for the Precalculus and Calculus courses. We focused on increasing in-class engagement and participation, while using outcomes-based assessment with high-frequency, low-stakes evaluations.
Here is a list of the courses I have taught or assisted at Brandeis University:
Instructor of Record:
Applied Linear Algebra (Summer 2023)
Techniques of Calculus: Applications in Climate Data Analysis (Fall 2022)
Techniques of Calculus (Fall 2021, Spring 2021)
Introduction to Probability and Statistics (Summer 2021)
