My research broadly focuses on developing an embodied neuroscience analytics framework, that best reflects how different layers of the nervous system interact with one another in a complex manner. To that end, my graduate and postdoctoral research work has focused on characterizing cognition and/or neurological disorders using novel stochastic methods on physiological signals (coined micro-movement spikes "MMS" methods*) harnessed from the brain and body in tandem. These signals include electrophysiological signals (LFP, ECoG, EEG, EMG, EKG), kinematics, facial expressions, and voice.
Current projects involve understanding the neural circuitry of:
Addiction and opioid use
Chronic pain
