This Privacy Policy describes how PDF Reader (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application PDF Reader (the “App”).
PDF Reader is a document reader and PDF tool set. The App may display advertisements and use advertising-related SDKs to support a free experience. You can contact us anytime at the email below if you have questions or want to change how we process your information.
PDF Reader provides on-device tools to open, view, organize, and process documents such as PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, including features such as merge, split, compress, lock/unlock, image-to-PDF, and PDF-to-image.
For privacy requests, contact:
Email: anderson780404@gmail.com
We aim to process personal data in line with applicable laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies.
Feedback and support messages you send to us (for example by email), including any contact details you choose to include.
Language and in-app preferences you set in the App.
Consent choices related to privacy, analytics, or personalized ads (where shown in the App or system settings).
To understand App performance and fix crashes, we may collect:
App version, build flavor, and feature usage events (for example opening a document type or using a tool)
Device model, OS version, language, time zone, and basic network type (for example Wi‑Fi / cellular)
Crash logs and diagnostic data
An app-instance identifier used by analytics/crash reporting (the App does not require an account)
We use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Remote Config (Google) for these purposes.
When advertising or measurement features are enabled in the App, we and/or our advertising partners may collect or receive:
Advertising identifiers (for example Android Advertising ID / GAID), limited IP address, device and network information
Ad request, impression, click, and interaction events
Approximate location derived from IP (not precise GPS, unless you separately grant location permission for a specific feature)
Install / attribution / campaign information used to measure ad performance and prevent fraud
The exact data depends on the partners active in your version and region, and on your consent or OS-level ad preferences where required.
To list and open documents, and to run tools such as image-to-PDF, the App needs access to files and photos you select.
Document content is processed on your device to provide App features.
We do not upload your PDF/Office files or photos to our servers for advertising profiling.
Temporary or exported files you create with the App remain under your control on the device (or in locations you choose when sharing/saving).
Precise GPS location solely for marketing (unless you later grant an optional location permission for a clearly disclosed feature)
Contacts, SMS, call logs
Payment card numbers inside the App (purchases, if any, are handled by Google Play)
We use the information above to:
Provide, maintain, and improve App features and reliability
Diagnose crashes and performance issues
Understand which features are used so we can prioritize product improvements
Show advertisements (including non-personalized and, where permitted, personalized ads)
Measure ad performance, limit frequency, detect fraud, and attribute installs or campaigns
Respond to your feedback or support requests
Comply with legal obligations when required
Legal bases (where GDPR applies) may include: performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement, ad fraud prevention), legal obligation, and consent where required (for example certain cookies/SDK identifiers or personalized advertising).
We do not sell your personal information in the sense of selling your documents or account profile.
We may share limited information when:
You ask us to (for example you email support and include details)
Service providers and advertising partners need it to provide analytics, crash reporting, ads serving, mediation, or attribution — under their terms and privacy policies
Law requires it (court order, lawful government request)
Needed to protect rights, safety, or security against abuse or fraud

Partners may process data on servers outside your country (including the United States). Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) may apply through those providers’ terms.
When you tap a third-party ad or external link, you may leave the App. Their sites and apps are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
Depending on your Android version, the App may request:
Storage / All files access — to find and open documents on the device
Photos / media (when using image-related tools) — to select images you choose
Internet / network state — for analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, ads, and opening links
Advertising ID related access (as required by the platform) — to serve and measure ads
You can deny or revoke permissions in system settings; some features (or personalized ads) may then be unavailable.
The App may display third-party advertisements (for example banner, interstitial, native, or rewarded formats) to keep core features free.
Ads may be provided by Google AdMob and/or other mediation or network partners we enable over time.
Where required by law (for example GDPR/CCPA regions), we will request consent or honor opt-out choices before personalized advertising.
You can also limit ad personalization in your device settings (for example Google settings → Ads → “Opt out of Ads Personalization”, or equivalent controls on your OS version).
We aim to follow industry self-regulatory guidance such as the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) where applicable. For Google ads choices, see: https://www.google.com/settings/ads
We do not use the content of your opened documents to build an advertising profile.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please keep your device locked and updated.
Local preferences and files remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
Analytics, crash, and advertising measurement data retained by partners follow each provider’s retention settings and our project configuration, typically kept only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of personal data we hold about you, and you may object to certain processing (including direct marketing / personalized ads where applicable). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise these rights, email anderson780404@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Uninstalling the App stops further local collection on that device; it may not delete historical analytics or ad measurement data already processed by service providers.
PDF Reader is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or other purposes. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Where child-directed treatment is required by ad platform policies, we will configure ads accordingly or disable personalized ads.
Information processed by our service providers and advertising partners may be stored or processed in countries other than your country of residence. By using the App, you understand that such transfers may occur as described in this Policy and the providers’ policies.
Please do not send us sensitive personal data (for example health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation) unless we expressly ask for it for a support case and you choose to provide it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (including when we add or change advertising partners). The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy. Material changes may also be highlighted in the App or store listing when appropriate.
