Set & Lighting Design

Home Sweet Home is a collaborative project of SFU CA253 & CA374, the theme is the Cusp. The theme idea of our group comes from the fact that when the same thing is performed repeatedly, the changes that occur will make each repetition different. The format of the performance is that the audience is invited to join the performance by ringing a doorbell. The audience will enter a man's yard and interact with the man. Just like a surprise box, in every interaction, although there will be repeated actions in the performance, there will also be different surprises.

Lighting Design

Ouroboros is a collaborative project of SFU CA253 & CA374, The theme is the 12 constellations. Canadian Sex is the 5th performance, represents Scorpio, tells the story of toxic relationship, the overall feeling of the show is a club setting. People in the club are socializing and making out with different people, which reflects the desire of Scorpio.

Lighting Design

Colab 3 is a collaborative project with students majoring in dance. I am Lia's lighting designer. Lia's performance shows a theme of growth, and the movements pay more attention to construction and shape. During the Collaboration discussed how to represent embodied growth, and ultimately we decided to play with the stage. Lia would use as much of the stage as possible to show movement. I chose to use side light to show not only Lia's body movements but also her shadow. The size of the shadow is also a way to show growth
