Jiaxing Song
Junior Professor, Humboldt fellow. Turbulent and complex flows.
I am working as a professor at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) since July 2026. Previously i was a research scientist at Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization from January 2024 to June 2026. I did my postdoc at Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research from September 2021 to December 2023, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. I received my BA degree in theoretical and applied mechanics from Lanzhou University at 2016 and the PhD degree in fluid mechanics from University of Science and Technology of China at 2021. In recent years I have focused in turbulence simulations, geophysical flows, thermal convection, and complex flows of viscoelastic fluids with particular interests in Rayleigh-Bénard and Taylor-Couette turbulence.
