Welcome to my personal website! I am an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University. I received my PhD in Technology and Operations Management from INSEAD, where I am advised by Professor Sameer Hasija and Professor Michael Freeman. Prior to my doctoral studies, I graduated summa cum laude from Singapore University of Technology and Design with BEng in Computer Engineering.
My research is centered around unlocking the operational and social benefits of emerging technologies in shaping more efficient and equitable healthcare systems. Questions I have studied include the implementation of virtual triage chatbots to enhance patient self-triage accuracy in acute care services, the mitigation of counterfeit antimalarial drug problems through subsidy programs and traceability technology, the evaluation of shareholder value associated with acquiring predictive analytics capabilities for biopharmaceutical companies, and the integration of deep learning systems and human graders in public diabetic retinopathy screening programs, among others.
Depending on the research questions at hand, I develop analytical and/or empirical models.
