Jianhui Liu is advancing towards a Ph.D. in Food and Resource Economics at the University of Florida, with his anticipated graduation date set for summer 2025. He holds his M.A. in Economic Development from Vanderbilt University and B.S. in Economics from the Pennsylvania State University.
Jianhui's research focuses on experimental economics and consumer behavior. His research has been published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio), and the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics, among others. He has also published two research reports for a municipal government in the US.
Jianhui's work has been presented at multiple conferences, including those hosted by the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA), the Southern Agricultural Economics Association (SAEA), and the China Center for Economic Research (CCER). As an engaged AAEA member, he has notably served as the Graduate Student Representative for both the Experimental Economics (ExEcon) Session (2023-2024) and the China Session (2023-2025).
Outside his academic pursuits, Jianhui is an active member of American Mensa. He also has two cats.
