Hi,

I'm Jiakun Zheng, an applied economist specializing in risk and decision-making at the Aix-Marseille School of Economics and Centrale Méditerranée. I earned my PhD in economics from the Toulouse School of Economics in May 2020.

My research focuses on decision-making under risk, with particular emphasis on the behavioral and moral dimensions of economic choice. I work at the intersection of decision theory, risk management and insurance, asset pricing, and cost–benefit analysis—including social discounting and the valuation of health risks—integrating formal theoretical modeling with experimental and survey-based methods.

My recent work has been published in journals including Games and Economic Behavior, International Economic Review, Experimental Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, and Journal of Health Economics.
