I am a math PhD student at Stony Brook University, heading into my fifth year this Fall.

My advisor is Mark McLean.

My email address is jiaji.cai@stonybrook.edu.

My research lies in Symplectic Geometry. I am particularly interested in understanding what kinds of phenomena in complex algebraic geometry are secretly symplectic, thus can be generalized to the symplectic setting, and used to answer interesting questions from both sides. The method of pseudo-holomorphic curves has been the primary bridge between the two worlds.

I am on the academic job market.
