My teaching reflects my broader interests in social inequality, family, work, aging, demography, and social policy. I aim to help students understand how social structures shape individual lives, family relationships, and population-level outcomes, while also developing their ability to evaluate empirical evidence and connect sociological research to contemporary social issues.
My teaching areas include social stratification and inequality, family and demographic change, aging and the life course, work and welfare, social policy, contemporary China and East Asia, social research methods, and quantitative data analysis.
