World Environment Day 2025

On June 5, 2025, in observance of World Environment Day, Jhum Revolution organized a tree plantation and plastic awareness campaign at Manikchhari Rani Nihar Devi Government High School, planting over 50 saplings of 16 different species. A plastic awareness campaign was also conducted at Manikchhari Bazar.

The event was graced by the presence of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tahmina Afroze Bhuiyan, Khagrachari Hill District Council Member and Freedom Fighter Kumar Swichingpru Sain, who is also the Chairman of Mong Raja Mongprusain Bahadur Foundation and President of Mong Rajbari Mukt Rover Scout, RSL Thoaiangpru Marma, Senior Teacher of Rani Nihar Devi Government High School Md. Naimul Haque, and several prominent journalists.

Mission Green Bangladesh collaborated as a partner organization in today’s initiative. As part of a simultaneous tree plantation program across all 64 districts, Jhum Revolution implemented this initiative in Khagrachari.
