JHS SDOH Working Group

The Jackson Heart Study Social Determinants of Health (JHS SDOH) Working Group seeks to promote epidemiologic research on the social and structural determinants of cardiovascular disease development, management, and related risk factors in the JHS. 

The Working Group holds monthly meetings during the academic year, convening researchers, trainees, and study staff from various institutions to provide research support and feedback, foster collaboration, and provide updates on JHS data and activities. The Working Group also conducts reviews of JHS manuscript proposals, ancillary study proposals, abstracts, and manuscripts, and collaborates with other JHS working groups.
