A select number of students were honored with an invitation to this community meeting. LIA students from JHS and GHS heard what is actively being done to support Latinos in our local communities.
Annual LIA Leadership Conference

Most of our LIA members attended this annual leadership conference. While we are looking forward to having a local conference next year, this was a good networking opportunity with Utah LIA chapters. Additionally, many students said the guest speaker's message was both powerful and useful to them in their own leadership journey.

Students attend this to prepare their vision for the upcoming school year. They go to different breakout sessions to learn how to be more effective leaders in their schools, community and our world.
Leadership conferences are an important part of growing students in their leadership skills. Moving forward, LIA will have a mandatory leadership bootcamp for all members in the summer. This will be a great opportunity to prepare our leaders for the upcoming school year.
