Sports have been at the center of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent countless hours watching games, studying athletes, and competing whenever I could. While I once dreamed of playing professionally, I eventually discovered that my greatest passion was helping sports organizations grow through creative storytelling, strategic marketing, and meaningful connections with fans.
I graduated from BYU–Idaho with a degree in Public Relations and have built my career across NCAA Division I athletics, collegiate conferences, and sports organizations. My experience includes serving as Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications at Western Illinois University, Director of Sports Marketing for BYU–Idaho Sports, Athletic Communications Assistant for the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC), and Competitive Sports Coordinator.
At Western Illinois, I lead social media and digital content strategy across 17 sports while contributing to broader marketing initiatives, brand development, and fan engagement. Since joining WIU, our primary athletics Instagram and Facebook accounts have seen a 3,153% increase in views, 43% growth in followers, and a 553% increase in interactions compared to the same period the previous year. Beyond digital growth, I help lead our creative team, develop content strategies, and support revenue-generating efforts through season ticket campaigns, promotional planning, digital advertising, and new content initiatives.
Previously, as Director of Sports Marketing at BYU–Idaho, I helped grow the athletics Instagram following from 3,000 to more than 11,000 followers, an increase of over 266%. I also led a team of six and helped expand the program's creative approach through targeted campaigns, video content, and game-day storytelling. That experience taught me the value of building a recognizable brand, developing creative talent, and using social media as a tool to grow an audience and strengthen a program.
Throughout my career, I've looked for opportunities to go beyond traditional communications and find new ways to connect creativity with business goals. From developing original content and building creative teams to supporting ticket sales and exploring new revenue opportunities, I'm interested in how strong storytelling and thoughtful marketing can create lasting value for an athletics department.
Leadership and relationship-building have also played an important role in my journey. From serving as a Student Leadership Ambassador at BYU–Idaho and coaching the Women's Madison Dragons Soccer Team to representing the Knoxville Smokies as a Brand Ambassador, I've gained experience leading teams, working with diverse groups, and creating positive experiences for others.
As I continue to grow in my career, my goal is to help lead the creative, marketing, and revenue-generating efforts of a sports organization. I'm passionate about building strong brands, developing people, finding new opportunities for growth, and creating experiences that bring fans closer to the teams they support.
