JHHS HoCo 2026

The Homecoming Dance will take place from 7-9:30pm in the Carter Gym on Saturday, September 19th. Doors will open at 6:45pm. Students can enter through Door 1 and 32. Don't forget your student I.D.! Your I.D. is your ticket to the dance!

Dance tickets cost $25 per person. Tickets can be purchased with cash, credit, or a check. If paying by check, make checks payable to John Hersey High School. Tickets will be on sale during lunch hours in the main hallway on Wednesday, September 16th, Thursday, September 17th, and Friday, September 18th. Students must have their physical ID to purchase a ticket. If you are purchasing on behalf of a Hersey friend, you must also have you friend's physical student ID. If a Hersey student is bringing a Hersey date/ guest, each ticket will need to be purchased individually. Tickets will not be sold the night of the dance.

IMPORTANT GUEST TICKET INFORMATION

If you are bringing a non-Hersey guest, you must have a completed guest form online here prior to purchasing their ticket and have it approved by the Deans. Once your guest form has been approved via email, you may then purchase your ticket on Wednesday, September 16th, Thursday, September 17th, and Friday, September 18th. Guest forms will not be accepted after Thursday, September 17th.

IMPORTANT:

Everything must be spelled correctly in your form, especially the contact information of all parties listed (Parent/Guardian, Guest's Dean). The form will not go through if there are any spelling errors. Make sure you share this information with your guest!

Once you complete the form, tell your guest to inform their parent/guardian so that they can be on the lookout for the email. The form will not make it to either Dean if your guest's parent/guardian does not approve.

Note: If your guest is in high school, you must have a Dean's contact information. If there is no Dean at their high school, they must have the contact information of another administrator, who will need to approve the form. If you are completing this form on a phone, this line will get cut off so please see below to see what you are checking:

Policies and Procedures for Dances

All District 214 and Hersey High School rules apply to the dance. These rules are outlined in the student handbook, and the rules apply to anyone who attends the dance.

Guests who do not attend Hersey High School are required to follow District 214 and school policies as well, regardless of age. Hersey students are responsible for informing guests of the applicable rules.

Students must arrive at the dance no later than one hour after the dance has officially begun.

After entry into the dance, students will not be allowed to leave and re-enter. Don’t forget your phone or purse in the car!

All students attending the dance are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.

Students are not allowed to bring the following into the dance: backpacks, bags, masks, glow sticks, canes, walking sticks, and any accessories that could be used as a weapon.

Anyone attending the dance is expected to dress appropriately for the formal occasion. The district policy regarding dress code will be enforced. Dress that is considered inappropriate by school personnel will result in the student being sent home. If you have questions regarding appropriate dress, please see the Deans for final approval.

Slam dancing, shoulder-riding, mosh-pits, inappropriate treatment of others, and violent behavior are not permitted.

No smoking or vaping. The dance is strictly smoke-free, regardless of age.

School administration will have a breathalyzer on site. Students under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other controlled substances will be required to leave immediately. Parents will be called to pick-up the student and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken. Additional disciplinary measures may be taken, including suspension or withdrawal from graduation ceremonies.
