About Me

Hi, here's Dr. Jie Han, a recent graduate from Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), holding a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Awarded date: 14th Dec, 2023).

I was a visiting researcher in Max-Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Stuttgart from 2021 to 2023, mentored by Prof. Metin Sitti.

My interests including Soft/Small Robots, Soft Sensors, Intelligent Soft Systems, Multi-soft-material 3D printing, and still exploring and learning.

Impact Factor 2022 is released by Clarivate. -28 June, 2023

Each year, the Journal Citation Reports™ (JCR) release provides a summary of the network of scholarly citations from the prior year of Web of Science™ coverage. It is a snapshot of the continually evolving research landscape.

For most of the journals, they all suffered a slightly decrease on the impact factor, and Advanced Intelligent Systems earns its IF as 7.4 while Advanced Science is 15.1 this year.

For every researcher, we should keep in mind that IF is an import index to evaluate the journal's quality but not everything. Keep working to make our work a meaningful one, and take it easy when talking about IF.

Our work on "Untethered Multi-Stimuli-Responsive Soft Millirobots" has been published on Advanced Science! Thanks to Prof. Metin Sitti and Dr. Zhiqiang ZHENG. -08 June 2023

A multi-material integration strategy for fabricating soft millirobots that uses electrodeposition to integrate two inherently non-adherable materials, superhydrophilic hydrogels and superhydrophobic elastomers, together via gel roots is proposed. This approach enables the authors to electrodeposit sodium alginate hydrogel onto a laser-induced graphene-coated elastomer, which can then be laser cut into various shapes to function as multi-stimuli-responsive soft robots (MSRs). This multi-material integration strategy enables creating untethered soft millirobots that have multifunctionality, such as environmental sensing, self-propulsion, and self-adaptation, paving the way for their future operation in complex real-world environments.

As two of my works during my PhD is published on Advanced Intelligent Systems, it's glad to konw the first impact factor of this journal reached 7.298. A good start. Cheers!

2022-MPI Physical Intelligence Retreat in Ringberg, Munich. -25 June, 2022

From 22 to 25, June, 2022, our Physical Intelligence Department, the Max Plack Institute for Intelligence Systems, organized a wonderful retreat in Ringberg, Munich. It's an unforgettable experience of enjoying the collision of ideas and academic exchanges in beautful nature, as the Schloss Ringberg overlooking the Tegernsee in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps.
