I am JF Turla, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of the Philippines School of Economics.

My interests include macroeconomics, monetary economics, financial economics, and development economics.

In particular, the research I do dabbles in the intersection of macroeconomic policy, financial institutions and markets, and inclusive growth and development.

For my doctoral dissertation, I focus on examining the aggregate impacts of financial inclusion on the stability of the financial system and learning more about its implications on monetary policy and macroprudential regulation.

Personal interests: I have an eclectic taste in music, geek out on the superhero genre, and am drawn to outer space and the prehistoric.
