Dr. Izsó Rósa

He was a famous president of the Szeged Jewish Congregation and he was the first Jewish lawyer in Szeged.

He took part in the reconstruction of Szeged after the Great Flood of 1879.

His house still stands near the National Theatre at Stefánia street.

The famous hungarian writer, Mikszáth Kálmán, described him as follows: ,,The most dilligent man and the greatest worker. His profession is altercation, but regardless of that, he is excellent in mitigation."

He was the honory grandmaster of the Árpád Lodge of Freemansons.
