Social Innovation
This course explores design as a catalyst for positive social change by addressing complex societal challenges through human-centered and participatory approaches. Students learn to identify community needs, develop sustainable interventions, and create inclusive solutions that generate social impact while fostering empathy, ethical responsibility, collaboration, and systems thinking.
Speculative Design (Interdisciplinary Project)
This course introduces students to speculative design methodologies that envision alternative futures and challenge existing assumptions about society, technology, and human behavior. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, students critically examine emerging trends, create future scenarios, and develop conceptual propositions that encourage innovation, reflection, and strategic thinking about potential opportunities and consequences.
Human Factors Engineering
This course focuses on understanding human capabilities, limitations, and behaviors in relation to products, systems, and environments. Students explore ergonomics, usability, cognitive principles, and user-centered design methodologies to create solutions that enhance safety, comfort, accessibility, and efficiency while improving overall user experiences and product performance.
Research Methodology
This course equips students with fundamental research skills required for systematic inquiry and evidence-based design practice. Students learn qualitative and quantitative research methods, data collection techniques, analysis frameworks, and ethical considerations. The course develops critical thinking and enables students to investigate design problems and generate meaningful insights.
Studio Design & Technology
This course integrates creative exploration with technological applications in a studio-based learning environment. Students engage in ideation, prototyping, experimentation, and material investigations while developing technical competencies and practical skills. The course emphasizes iterative design processes, hands-on learning, and the translation of concepts into functional, innovative solutions.
Design Management
This course examines the strategic role of design within organizations and business contexts. Students learn principles of project management, innovation management, leadership, and decision-making while understanding how design creates value. The course develops competencies in managing multidisciplinary teams, aligning design with organizational objectives, and delivering impactful outcomes.
System Analysis and Design
This course introduces students to systems thinking and structured approaches for analyzing and designing complex systems. Students learn to identify interrelationships, define requirements, map processes, and develop integrated solutions. The course emphasizes analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and the application of design methodologies to address multifaceted challenges effectively.

Design Analysis
This course guides students through the challenges of translating design ideas into physical reality. The focus centers on mastering material selection, understanding structural properties, and analyzing manufacturing processes to build tangible solutions.
Usability Testing
This course introduces the core principles of usability testing for product and interface design. Students build hands-on skills in planning and executing tests with real users while mastering methods like protocol analysis, task analysis, behavioral observation, and cognitive HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) models.
Product Detailing
This course teaches the fundamental concepts of product detailing to translate design intent into physical, digital, and "phygital" products. Students gain essential tools and analytical frameworks for benchmarking, architecture analysis, and reverse engineering, while learning to balance user, engineering, manufacturing, and business constraints.
