Odd post, but I've been trying to 3d print some parts for a Halo Elite Ranger, but I cannot find a model with a jetpack, I've found tons of UNSC jet pack models for free, but no covenant ones. Does anybody know where I can get a model of this jetpack? I'd like to have one in an OBJ, or STL format, but FBX and other formats work fine so long as they can be converted. And I'm fine with fixing the model myself, thanks.

The :: symbol doesn't work how you seem to think it does. Consider it to be used for static non-changing variables/methods. Like you could use model::addItem or model::clearItemList since they are just public methods and do not hold a value.

I have just started to learn jetpack compose in Android. I saw the view model dependencies available for compose. My question is simple what is the lifecycle of view model in compose? For example i created composable function that is presenting the whole screen and i am passing the view model in it. Is this view model depends on composable or activity or fragment life cycle. This is confusing me little or i am on wrong path.

Actually it depends on its lifecycle owner to clear itselp when the owner got destroyed only. Activity or Fragment both can be the LifecycleOwner for ViewModel. For example: if an ViewModel is attached to the Activity so when the activity get onDestroy() then only the viewmodel get destroyed otherwise all the changes the viewmodel can sustain like onPause(), onStop(), etc.

And that's why the viewmodel is used to sustain configuration changes and you can use it with any LifecycleOwner and it will manage its lifecycle at own till the onCleared() got called. For more information you can check the document at:

I take the Verizon jetpack with me on our trips because I don't want to use wifi at places that aren't secured by a password. You will need an international calling plan for it to work. I had Verizon's $10/24 hr plan. Then it uses your data, and will cost $10 to use it. Last year, I didn't need to use it in Europe, as I had secured wifi available. Normally, I use it with my ipad. It did not work for me on an island a couple of years ago. I found out that I received the best info on it by calling Verizon's international service dept.

Thank you for your input! I will contact the Verizon international department and test my phone as a hotspot as in the past it hasn't always worked as a hotspot. Would be nice to not have to take the jetpack. Thanks again.

Thanks for the advice.

We tried scaling the input but doing so the performance (accuracy in the detection) worsens.

We are currently using the ploy of generating a maximum of 6 models with the most representative input sizes.

Surely having only one model with the dynamic shape would have been great!

Another way to create view model is to use Hilt dependency injection(DI) framework. It is very similar to viewModel() composable function. You just replace it with hiltViewModel() which is also a composable function.

I wasn't aware of this viewModel() composable function. So I had been using by viewModel. I think it is better to use viewModel() composable function if your app is Jetpack Compose. You can also call viewModel() many times and only one instance of view model is created.

One thing to keep in mind when using viewModel() composable function is the view model lifecycle is scoped to composable function that is still in the back stack. If the composable function is removed from the back state, the view model is destroyed. For details, refer to this article.

Could you please confirm on can we deploy a Sagemaker Neo compiled model on Jetpack 4.6 and run inference?Device : Nvidia Jetson TX2 with Jetpack 4.6And also confirm the required DLR version and Jetson versions supported by Sagemaker neo models. Please share reference documents.

Oh, but one bright spot in the article: I got to use a photo of a jetpack. I say any day with a jetpack photo is a good day. (I could almost soundtrack the photo: Anything by the wonderfully named We Were Promised Jetpacks, a great Scottish band.)

Jetpack America is the first Hydro-Flight business in the United States and specializes in water jetpack, flyboard, and other water-powered flying devices. We offer sales, training, lessons, shows, and events with only the best hydro-flying products in the industry.

"I don't think we'll see everyday commuters with jetpacks. I think what we're going to see is first responders," says Atherton, who also covers military stories for Popular Science. "Specifically, first responders going to a crisis in a very tall building."

Last year, Dubai reached an agreement with Martin Aircraft Company to buy 20 jetpacks. Considering the fact that Dubai is home to the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, jetpacks could be the fastest way to get rescuers up to a crisis or to get victims away from danger.

Atherton also says they could be useful for search and rescue operations where helicopters can't or won't fly. But as for the jetpack culture? He says probably not.

"We could see a jetpack culture within in our lifetime but I would expect to see it at places like Burning Man before I would expect to see people flying from skyscraper to skyscraper".

A Jet Pack H2O2 was flown for 34 seconds in Central Park on the 9 April 2007 episode of the Today Show and sold for $150,000. As of January 2009 their H2O2 jet packs are for demonstration only, not for sale.[11] Details of the likely consumer model "Falcon" were scheduled for an official announcement on May 1, 2012, but the company is currently behind schedule.[12]

Packs with a turbojet engine are fueled with traditional kerosene-based jet fuel. They have higher efficiency, greater height and a duration of flight of many minutes, but they are complex in construction and very expensive. Only one working model of this pack was made; it underwent flight tests in the 1960s and at present it no longer flies.Jet packs and rocket packs have much better flight time on a tankful of fuel if they have wings like an aeroplane's.

Thus, the Bell Jet Flying Belt remained an experimental model. On 29 May 1969, Wendell Moore died of complications from a heart attack he had suffered six months earlier, and work on the turbojet pack ended. Bell sold the sole version of the "Bell pack", together with the patents and technical documentation, to Williams Research Corporation. This pack is now in the Williams International company museum.

Swiss ex-military and commercial pilot Yves Rossy developed and built a winged pack with rigid aeroplane-type carbon-fiber wings spanning about 2.4 m (8 ft) and four small kerosene-burning Jetcat P400 jet engines underneath; these engines are large versions of a type designed for model aeroplanes.[31] He wears a heat-resistant suit similar to that of a firefighter or racing driver to protect him from the hot jet exhaust.[32][33] Similarly, to further protect the wearer, the engines are modified by adding a carbon fiber heat shield extending the jet nozzle around the exhaust tail.

On 3 November 2015, Jetpack Aviation[51] demonstrated the JB-9[52] in Upper New York Bay in front of the Statue of Liberty. The JB-9 carries 4.5 kilograms (10 lb) of kerosene fuel that burns through two vectored thrust AMT Nike jet engines[53][54] at a rate of 3.8 litres (1 US gallon) per minute for up to ten minutes of flying time, depending on pilot weight. Weight of fuel is a consideration, but it is reported to start with 150 m (500 ft) per minute climb rate that doubles as the fuel burns off. While this model has been limited to 102 km/h (55 knots), the prototype of the JB-10 is reported to fly at over 200 km/h (110 kn).

The company now makes two Jetpack models, the JB-10 and the JB-11. They are similar to the JB-9, with upgraded electronics. They both use kerosene/diesel turbojet engines. The JB-10 is designed with two large 200 lb. thrust engines and is described as having an 8 minute flight time, while the slightly-longer duration JB-11 has a 10 minute flight time and uses eight smaller 90 lb. thrust engines.[57]

In the Star Wars original trilogy, the bounty hunter Boba Fett used a jet pack. In the prequel trilogy, Jango Fett also used a jet pack. The Mandalorian TV series from 2019 has multiple characters using jetpacks, as do various comics, video games, and other television shows in the franchise.

The tabletop wargame Warhammer 40,000 makes heavy use of jetpacks in many of its armies. Distinctions are made between "jump packs", which are used for assault infantry, and "jetpacks", which are used for heavier units and allow for continuous flight.

Overall there is no set rule how your state should be represented and the above example might be an overkill for a super simple screen. As long as you and your team agree on how the state should be modeled you are good to go.
