Sunday Night Lights is an alternate history simulation run by Alex Gray, also known as Sonicrules831 (@alexgray83 on Twitter). The series uses a heavily modded NASCAR Racing 2003 Season game to explore various what-ifs throughout NASCAR history, starting in 1981. The unique value of Sunday Night Lights, however, is that it isn't a pure re-simulation of racing history. It takes a unique edge with an emphasis on creativity being presented realistically, such as new tracks, guest drivers, and a shift in NASCAR's core culture. I'm also a co-creator with Alex on A Divided Ending, another narrative story continuing off of Griffdawg's "What if Dale Earnhardt Was Still Alive" series, with his blessing, telling the story of an alternate ending where NASCAR splits as a result of the 2015 strike.
As a part of these projects, I've served as a creativity and story consultant and have worked on some fictional cars, most notably Bubba Nissen's #59 Goody's Pontiac in SNL, as well as designing the thumbnails each video has.
